Magic Spoon tries its hand at oatmeal with added milk isolate for 15g of protein a serving

Magic Spoon Protein Oatmeal

The protein cereal specialist Magic Spoon has slowly but surely expanded beyond its original innovation, adding plenty of flavors and varieties to the original as well as introducing the protein bar Protein Treats, Protein Pastries, and Protein Granola. That adventure into other functional formats continues this month with the introduction of Magic Spoon Protein Oatmeal, which takes the familiar breakfast food and injects a bit of protein into it.

The latest Magic Spoon product is made with gluten-free oats, milk isolate, allulose, and flavor-specific ingredients like dried apples, cinnamon, and maple syrup. As for the nutrition, this is still very much oatmeal, so the net carbohydrates aren’t as low as the brand’s hoop-shaped cereal. A single 60g serving has 35g of nutritious carbohydrates, just a gram of that sugar, 3.5g of fat, a solid 15g of protein, and a calorie count of 200.

There are two flavors to start with for Magic Spoon’s Protein Oatmeal, both classic breakfast tastes in Apple Cinnamon and Maple Brown Sugar. With the tasty ingredients thrown in, like actual dried apple and maple syrup, the brand should have no trouble delivering on those two options. You can already grab the good morning innovation at the big box retailer Walmart, where a box of 300g or five servings will cost you $6.78.
