yFood has become one of the biggest names in Europe’s meal replacement category, building its reputation around convenient ready-to-drink meals packed with balanced nutrition, up to 30g of protein, and a variety of vitamins and minerals. In recent years, we’ve seen the brand continue expanding its selection of flavors, including entire lines, like the Fruity Series, while also leaning into creative collaborations and reskins involving Fallout, Mat Armstrong, and Genshin Impact.
The functional food specialist is now entering a new chapter as Nestlé moves to acquire the remaining shares of yFood after first taking a 49% stake in 2023. The move gives the corporate giant full ownership of the company, which has expanded beyond its flagship drink into powders, bars, and even hot food bowls. With yFood already established across major European markets, the acquisition is expected to help accelerate expansion into even more regions, and hopefully more innovation, as it does a great job at crafting all-new solutions that are high-protein and balanced nutrition.
