Savas moves into hydration with respectable electrolytes and a specific amount of sugar

Savas Sports Drink Water

As we’ve mentioned many times before here at Stack3d, Savas in Japan has one hell of a ready-to-drink protein supplement selection, with milkshake-style offerings, clear protein, women’s, and even higher-protein products. We actually just saw the busy brand expand in that department with Protein Black Coffee, a combination of rich black coffee and a hit of muscle-building protein from high-quality whey isolate.

Protein Black Coffee isn’t all the Japanese powerhouse Savas has been working on; it’s also developed a drink that isn’t connected to protein in any way, but hydration. The innovation is named Savas Water, a sports drink featuring a sweet grapefruit flavor and a whole bunch of electrolytes to support hydration and performance. There is quite a bit of electrolytes at a combined total just over 600mg, most of which is sodium.

Not only has Savas pushed the electrolytes to a respectable level for a convenient sports drink, in Savas Water, it also keeps the nutrition reasonably and meaningfully low. There are just 3.5g of carbohydrates in every bottle for a total of 13 calories, with a specific amount of sugar to support rapid hydration. The beverage is rolling out to retailers across Japan, again, in the one Grapefruit flavor at around ¥160 (1 USD) each.
