SmartSweets goes after the fruit snack market with its signature low-sugar approach

Smartsweets Fruit Snacks

SmartSweets is going after the classic, fruit-flavored, gummy-style lunchbox treat with its latest innovation, referred to as Fruit Flavored Snacks. There are many other competitors out there in this particular format, including, of course, the most well-known one, Welch’s Fruit Snacks. The difference with SmartSweets’ one, though, as you could probably guess, is that it has a better-for-you approach.

SmartSweets’ new Fruit Flavored Snacks come in small lunchbox-sized 19g bags, filled with delicious gummy candy pieces that are made with fruit juice, just 3g of sugar, 3g of fiber for digestion, and a low 50 calories. You get three flavors inside every bag, too, with the Mixed Fruit variety made up of apple, peach, and grape pieces, while Berry Medley goes with sweet strawberry, cherry, and raspberry.

Fruit Flavored Snacks is a great alternative to your standard lunchbox fruit gummy filler, and SmartSweets makes that clear on the front of its packaging, calling out that it has 63% less sugar compared to the leading fruit snack. The kid-friendly innovation has just become available at the big box retailer Target, where you can snatch up a box of eight packets at $8.99, working out to just over a dollar each.
