TruShield Certified has been expanding its reach over the past year, adding more brands, finished products, and even individual ingredients to its growing banned-substance verification program. The organization has another notable milestone to celebrate this week through a new partnership with sports medicine specialist SportPharm, bringing certified topical pain relief products into the fold and broadening the program beyond traditional sports nutrition.
Leading the announcement is SportPharm’s prescription-only KetoRub ketoprofen cream, which has become the first prescription-only NSAID topical in the US to earn TruShield Certification after comprehensive screening for more than 480 banned substances. Also joining the certified list are SportPharm’s over-the-counter WasabiRub, WasabiRub Super-Hot, and IcetraRub, giving athletes and professionals added confidence when choosing the topical products.
Again, it’s another meaningful move for TruShield, as the program continues to show its certification isn’t limited to protein powders, pre-workouts, or capsules. By partnering with SportPharm and certifying both prescription and over-the-counter topicals, TruShield is bringing the same high standard of banned-substance testing to another corner of athlete care and performance products.
