Be Legend in Japan has made its name almost entirely around authentic pop culture collaborations, pairing its whey-based protein powder with everything from anime and manga titles to Japanese candy brands. This time, though, the brand is stepping outside flavor extensions entirely and introducing an entirely new competitor for the protein powder category rather than an extension or special edition.
The release is Nonfat Milk Protein, positioned as a third option for fans, separate from its whey and soy products, made from nonfat milk powder sourced locally from dairy farms in Be Legend’s home country of Japan rather than imported. The macros on the innovation are pretty standard for this sort of supplement at 21g of protein in a double serving alongside zero fat, low carbohydrates, and minimal calories.
Be Legend’s first completely new protein powder in as long as we can remember launches today, nationwide at the giant retailer Don Quixote in three flavors, including a classic Milk Cocoa, the coffee-themed Cafe au Lait, and for something fruity, Banana au Lait.
