FroPro continues to prove there are plenty of everyday foods that can be made more functional, and its latest innovation is another great example. The Australian brand has expanded its already standout presence in the better-for-you space with Protein Popcorn Chicken, an extension to its FPFC Series. It is small, bite-sized pieces of fried chicken, although, of course, coming from FroPro, it’s loaded with protein and light in other areas.
The all-new product arrives in two flavors, Southern Style and Garlic Parmesan, each featuring FroPro’s high-protein crumb made with a blend of wheat protein, whey protein, flour, and its own signature seasoning mix. Both are designed to cook in only eight minutes in an air fryer, delivering the crispy texture and flavor of traditional popcorn chicken while packing up to 46g of protein per pot, as low as 13g of carbohydrates, and 430 calories.
The Southern Style variety is the leaner of the two, providing that nutrition profile above, while Garlic Parmesan trades a little protein for its richer savory flavor at 40g of protein, 25g of carbohydrates, and 456 calories in a 200g container. The Protein Popcorn Chicken Pots add yet another unique format to FroPro’s ever-growing functional family, and they’re now making their way into Woolworths supermarkets at $11.95 (8.28 USD).
