The category of crustless peanut butter sandwich snacks is really starting to heat up after Jams broke it wide open with its moderate protein, lower sugar, and overall better-for-you approach. Uncrustables then came out with a protein version of its original food, and just this month, Welch’s threw its hat in the ring with 12g of protein apiece. Another brand is now entering the fray in the powerhouse YouTuber collaboration brand Lunchly.
For those not familiar with Lunchly, it is a lunchtime snack pack from Mr. Beast’s chocolate bar brand Feastables and Logan Paul’s beverage behemoth Prime. The collaborative company has come out with Lil Sammies, a crustless sandwiches that pack a fair amount of protein. In the two peanut butter and fruit spread flavors, Grapes and Strawberries, you get 13g of protein, 31g of carbohydrates, under 10g of that sugar, 14g of fat, and 290 calories.
The one other flavor is Cookies & Cream, which has the same balance of nutrition as the fruit-infused options but instead of peanut butter and jelly, you get a mix of cookies and cream. The macros are quite impressive on Lil Sammies, with similar calories and a few grams less protein than the likes of an Anabar. It’s a great expansion for Lunchly with the category it started out in, and Lil Sammies are now rolling out into retailers in boxes of four.
