Vegain’s Surge Clear Protein Drink is a lightly carbonated, plant-based ready-to-drink protein supplement, similar to its original Surge Clear Protein Powder. It is built around hydrolyzed pea protein, which provides 25g of protein in every 355ml can, 2g of carbohydrates, no sugar or no fat, and 112 calories. The brand also sticks to tradition for the clear-style protein beverage, offering it in only fruity flavors with Mango Pineapple and Summerberry Lemonade.
The Surge Clear Protein Drink has not been on the market long, although Vegain has decided it’s time to rework the look, moving away from the brighter, cleaner cans for a black design with a much harder and more aggressive personality. The skull artwork, heavier lettering, minimal color, and larger callouts make it feel like an entirely different product, almost like a potent energy drink. Fans, however, can rest assured nothing inside has changed, with the formula and nutrition remaining identical, and the same Mango Pineapple and Summerberry Lemonade flavors.
