Elite Sport now available for pre-order, Jabra’s true wireless earbud competitor

We recently posted about Campus Protein now stocking Jaybird’s (our favorite) wireless headphone competitor, the X2. It turns out a lot of people quite appreciated the post so we thought it might be worth sharing something else from that area of the market. If Bluetooth headphones are your thing, then you’re probably going to look forward to Jabra’s next wireless release, the Jabra Elite Sport.

Unlike the Jaybird X2 or most Bluetooth headphones, the Jabra Elite Sport is being promoted as a true wireless device. What that means is that it has absolutely not wires, not even one connecting its two earbuds. On the outside the Elite Sport is just a small pair of buds that you place in your ears, much like the original Bragi and Samsung’s Gear IconX.

As well as being great for wirelessly adding music to your workout, the Jabra Elite Sport does actually pack a few other interesting features. Also included on its list of highlights is waterproof for up to a meter, a motion tracker and a heart rate monitor that work in combination with the brand’s fitness app. Three hours battery life with an additional six from its portable charger, and sweat proof with a three-year warranty to back it up.

You can find more in-depth details on Jabra’s website where the Elite Sport is now available for pre-order. The price for true wireless freedom from Jabra is $249.99, with pre-orders looking like they’re expected to ship before the end of the month although the brand does say it could be delayed to as far away as the 15th of November.
