Muscle Monster relaunched with more protein and less sugar

Monster Energy, the giant company behind the incredibly popular line of Monster energy drinks, has debuted a new version of Muscle Monster at this year’s Arnold Expo. Muscle Monster is the brand’s protein infused energy drink that’s received a bit of a makeover and slight reformulation for 2018.

The most obvious change to Monster’s Muscle Monster is that it now comes in a more traditional screw top bottle. Fans of the product will know, previously it came in a can similar to almost all of the other Monster products you’ll find out there.

As for the changes to the Muscle Monster formula, Monster has made the protein plus energy RTD a slightly leaner shake. The brand has pumped it up with a little more protein taking it to 27g per bottle and lowered its sugar down to 9g, resulting in a total of 190 calories.

The energy blend in the new Muscle Monster is the same as always, providing exactly 157mg of caffeine. Monster has introduced its renewed protein energy drink in two flavors with the traditional tastes Chocolate and Vanilla.
