Smart Sweets makes a handful of changes to its recipe for the New Year

smart sweets v3

Starting this week, the healthier gummy candy company Smart Sweets has an all-new recipe available for its tasty, low sugar products. The functional brand has listened to growing fanbase and made a number of exciting changes to its lineup, including the removal of the emulsifying and thickening ingredient carrageenan.

Other tweaks Smart Sweets has made to its candy products include a stronger sour taste in its sour flavors, and less fiber, as well as new types of soluble fiber. Another change the brand has made is that in the US, its gummy snacks are made with the almost zero-calorie sugar substitute allulose, just like the Quest Hero Bars.

Smart Sweets’ use of allulose does mean that its products in the US will have a slightly different nutrition profile than the version in Canada without allulose. Despite all of the changes, the brand promises the same enjoyable taste and candy-like experience for its low-sugar treat, which still comes in five flavors.

If you’d like to give Smart Sweets’ revamped recipe a try, you can get your hands on the latest version of its products now, through its website, where sets of six bags will cost you $3.29 each.
