After weeks of fierce competition, it finally came down to two protein powders in our 2020 supplement showdown, the Protein Wars, with Arms Race Nutrition’s Foundation and Jim Stoppani’s Pro Jym. It went back and forth throughout the week of the grand final, but of course, only one product could come out on top, neither of which has taken home the title in the past.

The winner of our 2020 Protein Wars is Jim Stoppani’s fully transparent protein powder Pro Jym, initially launching six and a half years ago in July of 2014. The supplement has come a long way since then, changing its style of packaging, switching up its look along with the rest of the Jym line, and introducing many different flavors, all while maintaining its original transparent formula.

The Protein Wars competition was challenging this year, especially with the new rules we brought in, allowing only one vote per person per week instead of once every 24 hours, and we had extra verification in place. We also matched the Protein Wars with our Clash Of The Cans energy drink contest, requesting that brands don’t giveaway product or prizes in exchange for votes.

Despite how major they were, all of the Protein Wars changes were received really well by both fans and brands, so we couldn’t be happier. More importantly, however, we have a new Protein Wars champion on our hands, with a big congratulations going out to Jym. Pro Jym now joins the list of winners consisting of five other protein powders from the past eight contests.
