Russian brand Bombbar has dipped its toes into frozen functional treats several times, most recently with its Low Calorie Ice Cream and Ice Cream Cups. This week the brand has done it once again but in a more traditional fashion, introducing ice cream that’s high in protein and low in calories in sizeable tubs as opposed to on a stick or in a crispy cone.
The latest Bombbar creation is similar to the tubs of protein ice cream it released last year, although this product is much larger and has a whole new set of flavors to choose from. The bigger tubs of Bombbar ice cream weigh in at 400g each versus the original’s 150g, and while they have the same sort of nutrition profile, if you eat it all, the numbers total a lot more.
An entire 400g container of Bombbar’s protein ice cream packs 36g of protein, 20g of fat, between 44 and 68g of carbohydrates, no sugar, and consistent calories across all of the flavors at 600. There are three flavors of the frozen treat, none of them your usual chocolate or vanilla in Praline and Caramel, Pistachio, and Blackcurrant, with the last two filled with streaks of flavor.
You can grab Bombbar’s almost three times larger 400g tubs of protein ice cream from its Russian online store at 395₽ (5.38 USD) each, which does work out to be cheaper per gram than those smaller 150g options.
