Protein specialist Take-A-Whey moves into bars with a true candy bar-like experience

Take A Whey High Protein Bar

Protein specialist Take-A-Whey, known for its variety of protein powders such as Native Whey, Protein Isolate, Whey Protein, and Casein, has something quite a bit different this week. The European brand has expanded its family of supplements into the world of functional foods, introducing its first-ever edible item, the Take-A-Whey High Protein Bar.

The Take-A-Whey High Protein Bar is a moderately sized 49g snack with a fair amount of protein at 13 to 14g depending on the flavor, of which there are two in Nougat & Caramel and Peanuts & Caramel. The rest of the product’s nutrition is higher than your typical protein bar, especially in relation to its level of protein, with about 16g of fat, 15g of carbohydrates with no added sugar, and a calorie count of 248.

You can see the breakdown of the candy bar-like build of the Take-A-Whey High Protein Bar in the image above. It has a truly soft and smooth base, then, depending on the flavor, crunchy peanuts or tasty nougat, topped with sweet, salty, and gooey caramel, and finally, all wrapped in a solid layer of milk chocolate.

Take-A-Whey is indeed a European brand, and that is the area you’ll find its family of protein-based supplements and now functional foods. Take-A-Whey is exclusively distributed by the sports nutrition giant Prometeus, which supplies an incredible number of retailers across the continent. The new High Protein Bar is already in stock at Prometeus in both flavors and should be showing up in stores and stockists shortly.
