Project #1, Ekkovision and Wrath nominated for Newcomer Of The Year

2022 Newcomer Of The Year Award Nominees

The Brand Of The Year announcements continue to roll in this week, as promised, and after last week’s reveal of the nominees for Functional Brand Of The Year, we have the nominees for our 2022 Newcomer Of The Year. This was a difficult category to pick, harder than any of the others we have in our annual awards, mostly due to the fact that there simply weren’t that many big debuts this past year.

There are three nominees for our 2022 Newcomer Of The Year Award, which takes into consideration any brand that has entered the market since the end of last year, and again, there weren’t that many that made a lot of noise. We’ve got the nominated brands listed below, some making it through due to the excitement they created and caused and others due to the effort they put in following their launch.

  • Project #1 Nutrition
  • Ekkovision
  • Wrath Performance

Last year it was Greg Doucette’s HTLT, the refreshing Ninja, and Nutrabio’s hardcore Unbound. This year we have another three competitors in Wrath Performance from Frank McGrath, Project #1 Nutrition from an Axe and Sledge co-founder, and the exciting pre-workout specialist Ekkovision. Each of the nominees made a lot of noise this year, but, of course, only one can walk away as the winner.

Like all of the categories in our Brand Of The Year awards, we look for companies that remained consistent throughout the year, frequently dropping quality and effective products with clear points of difference. We would also like to include We Go Home as an honorable mention, as it had a strong 2022 revamping its pre-workout and entering some new categories, but it did launch early last year.
