Protein World squeezes 21g of protein into its first edible Slender series product

Protein World Slender Protein Bar

Protein World has expanded its “Slender” name into many different types of products over the years, all in powder format with the likes of Slender Pancakes, Slender Pizza Mix, Slender Coffee, Slender Porridge, and, of course, the original Slender Blend protein powder. The UK-based lifestyle brand has taken a different route this week and introduced its first-ever edible Slender item with the Slender Protein Bar.

Protein World’s Slender Protein Bar is a candy bar-style treat featuring the typical bar build of a dense, doughy base, crispy protein pieces across the top mixed into a gooey layer, then all wrapped in chocolate. The brand has never really done supremely impressive macros or formulas for some of its more advanced supplements, although the nutrition it managed to squeeze into the Slender Protein Bar is rather impressive.

A single Slender Protein Bar packs a hefty 21g of protein, 22.6g of carbohydrates with under 2g of that sugar, a light 5g of fat, and a reasonable calorie count of 214. Again, the nutrition profile is relatively competitive, and it’s mostly the same across the two flavors Protein World has launched for the bar in a sweet and salty Salted Caramel, then for chocolate lovers, there is a decadent Chocolate Brownie.

Protein World’s Slender Protein Bar is available in the same place all of its health and wellness supplements can be found over at proteinworld.com. The product is not the cheapest in the functional category at £30 (36.43 USD) for a box of ten bars, which does come down if you grab a 30-day subscription to £21 (25.50 USD).
