YouTuber Ryan Trahan joins Joyride and releases sour strips with the brand’s low-sugar approach

From Stack3d
Joyride X Ryan Trahan Sour Strips

The better-for-you candy company Joyride was recently joined by YouTuber Ryan Trahan, and, like Pandy, Shameless Snack, and SmartSweets, it makes delicious candy that is lower in sugar and calories. Following the partnership with Trahan, however, it has taken everything off its online store, including its tasty Red Licorice Twists, Sour Fruit Gummies, and Sour Gummy Worms. The only product up there right now is an all-new format with Sour Strips in four different flavors, and they all continue the brand’s signature approach of having less sugar than traditional candy while still providing a similar taste experience.

Joyride’s Sour Strips are available in Pink Lemonade, Green Apple, Strawberry, and Blue Raspberry flavors, and again, they all stick to that original Joyride angle of having low sugar. The product comes in a 3.5oz bag or 96g, and the calories are still relatively high if you throw down the whole pack. From that almost 100g serving you get in every bag is 72g of carbohydrates, 24g of that fiber and 12g added sugar, no fat, and 3g of protein, ending on a calorie count of 210, so it is much better when eaten more moderately.

Again, if you head over to the Joyride online store, you won’t find absolutely any of its past items; it is only the newly released Sour Strips available in those four flavors at $20 for a pack of four bags, $45 for ten, or try the entire family with one of each at a slightly heightened $25. We have absolutely no idea what’s happened to those other better-for-you candy products — there is some stock still available on Amazon — as there has been no mention of what’s happening to them with the introduction of Sour Strips, and even the brand’s social media platforms have been completely wiped clean.
