Wheyhey increases the protein to 50g in its two-and-a-half times bigger yogurt

Wheyhey Bigger Protein Power Yogurt

Late last year, the better-for-you ice cream innovator Wheyhey released something for the chilled section in Protein Power high-protein yogurt in three tasty flavors with Strawberry, Blueberry, and Caramel. The brand has continued that run of creativity and dropped two more products since then with Protein Power ice cream on a stick and Protein Power high-protein milk. Joining Wheyhey’s growing catalog here in the early stages of the year is more protein-packed yogurt, although these are different from what we saw a few months ago.

Wheyhey has rolled out Protein Power high-protein yogurt that’s more than twice as large as the Strawberry, Blueberry, and Caramel-flavored offerings, which tip the scales at 200g a pot. The larger product weighs 450g, and with that increase comes more nutrition, a lot more. While the 200g Protein Power yogurts have 22g of protein, the 450g extension goes up to 50g, and the other macros jump up just as much with 42 to 48g of carbohydrates, 6 to 8g of that sugar, a similar amount of that in fat, and 360 to 376 calories.

Those nutrition profiles are pretty solid for a single sitting, giving you a nice balance of high-protein, moderate carbohydrates, and low fat, beating out your typical protein bar’s 20g of protein to around 200 calories, whereas here it’s 50g of protein for about 360. The flavors of Wheyhey’s bigger Protein Power yogurt are also different from the original 200g pots, with two to choose from, both significantly simpler than that fruity and dessert-filled menu in Vanilla and a classic, neutral yogurt experience aptly named Natural.
