Liquid Death mocks major soda brands and their excessive amounts of sugar

Liquid Death is as entertaining of a brand as they come, and some of the stunts and campaigns it runs aren’t always linked back around to something that’s just coming to market, like a flavor extension or all-new product. We’ve got another one of those creative marketing features here today, and it shows you once again that the canned water company never misses a beat with a video of real auditions that it held for a “cool new soda brand.”

The video is titled “Liquid Death Proves Decades of Soda Marketing Is BS,” and it features a handful of models or potential ambassadors who market the fictional soda and brand Liquid Death put together called Pure Sugar, which is described as dehydrated soda. Basically, it’s a bottle of straight sugar with no liquid whatsoever, hence the name and description, and to top it off, it comes with the extremely fitting tagline “All Sugar. No Water”.

Liquid Death’s comedy short about the world of sugar-loaded soda sees the various models and ambassadors drink Pure Sugar in an effort to make actual models and ambassadors that promote soda with over-the-top levels of sugar as stupid as possible. It’s well worth a watch, especially as you get near the end and Liquid Death shows you the amount of sugar in 20oz of some of the bigger sodas, which look to be Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Fanta.
