It is very common for health and nutrition companies, especially in the protein powder category and even the functional food market, to create memorable flavors inspired by a traditional treat or well-known snack. To ensure consumers pick up on the inspiration, brands will give their products specific colors and designs to reinforce the experience they’re shooting for. Big in Spain has done just that, rolling out a flavor that is looking to replicate a particular taste from the donut legend, Dunkin’ Donuts.
The ever-expanding and always-busy Big has debuted a flavor of its Only Whey protein powder in Pumpkin Special Latte, and as you can see in the image above, the orange and pink colors, as well as the font, are reminiscent of Dunkin’ Donuts. The Spanish brand is looking to provide a classic pumpkin latte taste experience in the form of its Only Whey shake providing a moderate 22.8g of protein a serving from Lacprodan whey concentrate, 2.9g of carbohydrates, 1.7g of fat, and 119 calories.
Usually when Big launches a new flavor, especially something as creative and intriguing as the seemingly Dunkin’ Donuts-inspired Pumpkin Special Latte, it comes in multiple protein powders, including CFM ISO Zero and Micellar Casein. It is just Only Whey getting the attention this week, and you can purchase it now in the brand’s home country in the supplement’s smaller 1kg tub size, not it’s slightly more cost-effective 2kg.
