Protein wafer brand Power Crunch joins Halo Top and Fulfil under the Ferrero banner

Ferrero Buys Power Crunch

There are some companies out there that house several familiar brands and products, and while that is common in the mainstream world of food with things like candy and beverages, some of those giants also have interest in the health and nutrition sector. Ferrero Group is one of those, which alongside its signature Ferrero Rocher, Bomb Pop, Blue Ribbon, Kinder, Tic Tac, and countless other nostalgic brands, is the protein ice cream company Halo Top, Fulfil Nutrition, and now the wafer protein snack specialist Power Crunch.

Ferrero Group has inked a deal to acquire Power Crunch from Bio-Nutritional Research Group, expanding its reach in the better-for-you snack category. Power Crunch is known for its lights and crunchy protein wafer bars, available in a variety of flavors and versions, including the Power Crunch Pro with a higher 20g of protein and the smaller-sized Power Crunch Kids. Just last year, the brand also got into the protein chip game with an extremely intriguing Pringles-like packaged Protein Crisps with 22g of protein in a single 2oz pot.

Power Crunch has certainly pumped up the innovation in more recent years, especially with Protein Crisps, which made the list of our Stack3d-45 Awards, but it’ll be interesting to see how much of that continues under the Ferrero Group. Things do sometimes change when new ownership comes in, and that can go both directions, good or bad, we’ll have to wait and see as to how the story plays out for Power Crunch.
