Applied shows off its more cost-effective pre-workout at the Arnold Expo

An Essentials Pre

Applied Nutrition is out in full force at this year’s Arnold Sports Festival, running a giant booth at the Columbus Convention Center, and like a few other companies at the highly anticipated event, it has brought some exciting innovation to the show. The standout supplement on display is something called AN Essentials Pre, which separates itself from its other competitors in the pre-workout space, including the long-running All Black Everything or ABE and the more premium AN Performance Pre.

AN Essentials Pre is the most cost-effective pre-workout from Applied Nutrition here in the US, hence the name, coming in at a significantly lower price than either of those other two. The product has a straightforward formula that reflects that cost, with six core ingredients at moderate dosages to support strength, performance, endurance, and, of course, intense enhance energy by way of caffeine.

IngredientsPer Serving
Creatine Monohydrate3.25g
L-Citrulline3g
Beta-Alanine2g
Taurine200mg
Caffeine200mg
TheaCrine100mg

As you can see in the image above, Applied Nutrition’s Essentials Pre comes with 3.25g of tried and true creatine monohydrate and 2g of beta-alanine for performance, and 3g of pure citrulline to enhance and elevate muscle pumps. There is also a light 200mg of taurine, ever reliable caffeine for energy at a reasonable 200mg, and 100mg of theacrine. That’s what you get in each of the 30 servings, and it looks as though there is room to double serve, but that would throw you over the usual 5g of creatine up to 6.5g.

AN Essentials Pre will be coming to market shortly, with 30 servings per tub, and to make things even more interesting, it is going to have several authentic flavor collaborations. Applied Nutrition has built the menu with two tastes in partnership with the iconic drink mix Tang in Tang Orange and Tang Orange Strawberry. There is also Albanese Gummi Peach Rings, and another two tastes with the banana brand Chiquita, in Chiquita Fruit Blend and Chiquita Pineapple Strawberry.
