Black Skull in Brazil jumped into the ready-to-drink protein game back in 2023 with Whey Drink, a moderately high protein beverage packing 15g in a small 250ml bottle. High-quality whey is the main ingredient responsible for the protein, and it is worth noting the carbohydrates aren’t overly lean or low. Black Skull has formulated Whey Drink closer to a meal replacement more than a premixed protein shake with 18g of carbs, so a short amount higher than the protein, pushing the calories up to around 160.
Whey Drink came out in four different flavors, including a few classics with Chocolate, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Strawberry, as well as a dessert-inspired Dulce de leche. Fast forward to one and a half years later, here in the first quarter of 2025, and the Black Skull has dropped flavors number five and six, neither of them traditional in Cappuccino and Banoffee Pie. The macros are about the same as the other options, led by 15g of protein, and they are now available directly from the Brazilian powerhouse’s website.
