Barebells transforms the first flavor of the Soft Protein Bar into something even more delicious

Barebells Marshmallow Peanut Road

The first Soft Protein Bar from Barebells was not actually classified as the Soft Protein Bar; like many of its completely new formats, the product debuted as a Christmas Edition, arriving in Christmas of 2021 as the Rocky Road Marshmallow Protein Bar. It featured an absolutely delicious set of flavors and impressively smooth consistency. The product went on to evolve into the Soft Protein Bar in a number of flavors, which now includes a revamped take on the original.

The return of Rocky Road Marshmallow has been reworked and transformed into the even better Marshmallow Peanut Road Soft Protein Bar. Barebells has somehow put an event softer main body inside with a sweet marshmallow taste, an intensely noticeable salty caramel layer, and crunchy peanuts, all wrapped in milk chocolate. The catch with each of those features is that the brand hits on every level with a marshmallow infusion that tastes like marshmallow, addictively good caramel, and a coating of rich, seemingly sugar-loaded chocolate.

We were huge fans of that original Christmas Edition Rocky Road Marshmallow Protein Bar, and generally are fans of Barebells all-new formats, but that original was one of our all-time favorites for the Soft Protein Bar. That has been immediately topped by Marshmallow Peanut Road packing 16g of protein with 220 calories. The extension has launched exclusively in the US through the brand’s online store at $29.99 a box, with no mention of it hitting any other markets.
