Brazilian snack brand Bold gets into protein with a whey-based competitor in four flavors

Bold Whey Protein Powder

The colorful brand Bold in Brazil is known for its functional foods, and you can see that in its social media handle @boldsnacks. The creative company makes all sorts of protein snacks like the original Bold Protein Bar, the self-explanatory Thin Bar, Crunch Bar, and the round Tube Bar. Recently, the team has been teasing something significant, so much so that the campaign has taken up several weeks, although the cat is now out of the bag, and we have details on Bold Whey Protein Powder.

After approaching the functional food category with a variety of shapes and sizes, the hugely successful Brazilian brand Bold is turning its head to the core category of protein powder. As the supplement is titled, Bold Whey relies on whey for its protein, providing 22g of the muscle-building macronutrient per serving from a blend of whey concentrate, isolate, and hydrolysate. The lesser quality whey concentrate is the first one in the blend, which means it is where most of the protein is from.

The other numbers vary from flavor to flavor, but in the classic Milk Chocolate, the 22g of protein is alongside 2.7g of carbohydrates, most of that sugar, 2g of fat, and 117 calories. There are three other options on the menu for the Bold Whey Protein Powder in Cookies & Cream, Strawberry Mousse, and Vanilla Milkshake. The brand is rolling out its first-ever supplement shortly in two sizes with a 900g bag packing 30 servings and a less cost-effective, half-sized 450g pouch with 15 servings.
