Savas utilizes superior BLG for an even more premium version of its Muscle Elite protein powder

Savas Pro Muscle Elite

Muscle Elite is the premium whey protein powder from Savas in Japan, providing 20g of clean protein, low sugar, carbohydrates, and fat, and reinforced with a variety of vitamins for general health. In an effort to offer consumers something a bit more advanced and one step further, there is now Savas Pro Muscle Elite. It is another level above the original supplement, and while it is still very much a protein powder, the difference comes in its superior source of protein.

Savas relies on Arla’s high-end b-lactoglobulin or BLG in its Pro Series Muscle Elite, a globular protein that offers an even greater concentration of muscle-building essential amino acids, including 45% more leucine compared to standard whey. It’s an impressive nutritional innovation, and the Japanese brand Savas has thrown it in its latest protein powder to provide an even leaner nutrition profile with 24g of protein, just a gram of fat, 2.2g of carbohydrates, and 112 calories.

The BLG-backed Muscle Elite is a better all-around protein solution and seemingly the most premium competitor in the protein powder category from Savas. The alternative formula does mean the Pro Series spin-off costs a bit more than the standard Muscle Elite, but again, the brand justifies that with BLG. A smaller 800g pouch costs ¥7,600 versus a bigger 900g Muscle Elite at ¥6,760, and it comes in just one flavor at the moment in a traditional Chocolate.
