Gymgrossisten’s large house brand adds a more flavor-focused protein powder

Star Nutrition Protein Milkshake

Gymgrossisten’s house brand, Star Nutrition, has a whole host of supplements available, and plenty of them are in the saturated protein powder category. Protein Milkshake Powder has just come on board the brand’s catalog, and in situations like this, the question is always, what makes this different from the rest? The twist with Protein Milkshake Powder is that it’s a flavor-first, gourmet-style offering, where the nutrition isn’t the leanest possible, but the taste is top notch.

Every serving of Gymgrossisten and Star Nutrition’s Protein Milkshake Powder has 20g of protein from whey concentrate and skimmed milk powder, around 7g of carbohydrates, almost all of that sugar, about 2g of fat, and 125 calories. For 20g of protein, those carbs and calories are at the higher end of the spectrum, although that’s all sacrificed for a milkshake-like taste. There are three options on the menu of this one in Double Chocolate, Vanilla Cookie, and Strawberry Ice Cream.

As mentioned, Gymgrossisten’s brand Star Nutrition makes a whole bunch of protein powders, so it certainly has the experience and likely the ability to produce a delicious taste that justifies the less balanced nutrition profile. The value of Protein Milkshake Powder isn’t as good as some of the other competitors from the brand but within reason at 229kr (22.97 USD) for a 725g pouch of about 22 servings, or 17 servings if you want to go bigger and get 25g of protein in each.
