Australian protein ice cream brand Gym Bod expands its functional baking side

Gym Bod Protein Brownies

Gym Bod is an Australian functional food company originally and mostly known for its frozen protein treat, the delicious and high-protein Gym Bod Protein Ice Cream. You can find it in supermarkets all over the place down under, but that isn’t all it offers. The growing brand has stretched outside of the freezer and into dry powder supplements or baking mixes; first it was Protein Mug Cake, and new to market this month is Gym Bod Protein Brownie Mix.

The latest innovation from the functional company is similar to what you get across Europe in a powder supplement that can be quickly and conveniently turned into a high-protein baked treat, and in this case, that is decadent brownies. All you need to do to take the product from powder to finished food is blend a serving with 120ml of water or milk, mix until smooth, then place it on a tray and throw it into an oven or your air fryer.

The result is soft, crumbly, and rich chocolate brownies that have 5g of protein per serving, 2.6g of fat, 6.8g of carbohydrates, and just 1.3g of sugar. The calories come out at 75, but keep in mind this is based on a 33g serving of the powder, so if you mix it with milk, that will slightly alter the macros. The nutrition is pretty balanced, not supremely high in protein like a powder since there is more carbs, but knowing Gym Bod’s experience, we bet they taste amazing.

You can purchase the newly released Gym Bod Protein Brownie Mix straight from its online store in your choice of $20 (12.74 USD) for a single pack of ten servings, or go bulk and save a bit with 5% off two boxes, 10% on three, or 15% on four or more, bringing it down to $17 (10.83 USD) a pack.
