GymBeam puts a low protein percentage in its all-new Mini Protein Cookies

Gymbeam Mini Protein Cookies

When it comes to functional food, GymBeam is as packed as they come, squeezing protein and lower calories into all sorts of different shapes and sizes. Adding to that stack of innovations is Mini protein Cookies, a fun and creative twist to the classic protein-stuffed cookie. Instead of making a 50 to 60g, doughy, circular protein snack, the European powerhouse has made a bag filled with 100g of bite-sized cookies that are crumbly and high in protein.

The latest functional food from GymBeam has several cookies per bag; again, each one is bite-sized, and together all of those pieces provide around 17g of protein, which is not a lot from 100g. That balance puts the product more in the better-for-you snacking realm, regardless of the other macros, although the numbers get up there. Alongside the 17g of protein is 31g of fat, and 19 to 20g of carbohydrates, pushing the calories to about 470.

The nutrition profile of GymBeam’s Mini Protein Cookies is definitely not lean, as it works out to about 550 calories to 20g of protein when you scale it up, far from the common balance of 20g of protein to 200 calories in most protein bars. There is the highlight of no added sugar, but again, the calories are the one to watch out for. There are two flavors available in Peanut Butter Salted Caramel and Peanut Butter Chocolate, and they cost just €2.50 per pouch.
