Mars puts 15g of protein into its Twix, Snickers and Milky Way Chocolate Milks

Mars Moderate Protein Twix Snickers Milky Way

The candy giant Mars, in the United Kingdom, has been making protein-packed versions and supplements based on its legendary treats and candies for several years. There have been Mars, Snickers, Milky Way, Bounty, and even M&M’s protein bars and powders, although none of them ever ventured outside of the UK and Europe. It is now finally our turn, at least somewhat, as Mars has launched authentic products stateside that are high in protein.

Similar to what Mars did across the pond, it has taken three of its iconic candy bars and made them into protein innovations; however, instead of making protein bars or powders, it has gone the ready-to-drink route. Now available online from Amazon and in Walmart’s many locations are higher protein Twix Chocolate Milk, Mars Chocolate Milk, and Milky Way Chocolate Milk.

Mars promotes the products as chocolate milk, and you can see why in the nutrition profiles as they have more protein than traditional chocolate milk at 15g a bottle and reduced fat at 9g, but high carbohydrates with 35g and the majority of that is sugar at 29g, albeit only 8g added sugar. The focus of these isn’t high protein and low numbers everywhere else, as you can see, but it’s at least close to the drops we’ve seen from Protein By Mars in the UK.

With 15g of protein, you most definitely won’t the calories to be closer to 100 than 300, although it’s a start, and if you’re looking for a hefty hit of carbohydrates with an infusion of protein, Mars’ Twix, Snickers and Milky Way Chocolate Milk are a great way to go. Again, you can get any of the authentic beverages from Mars at Walmart as well as Amazon.
