Legacy brand Reflex revamps its entry in the competitive protein bar market

Reflex Nutrition High Protein Twin Bar

Legacy brand Reflex Nutrition in the United Kingdom has been around for much longer than most, offering a wide range of sports nutrition supplements. Currently, it covers many of the key categories, including protein powder, pre-workout, and the fast-rising creatine. Like many others in that part of the world, it does play in the protein bar category, where it has a new competitor this month in the Reflex High Protein Twin Bar.

Reflex Nutrition has taken an interesting approach in the High Protein Twin Bar, and it alludes to this in its name. Inside each wrapper is a full-size 60g bar split in two, like the Gainomax Protein Bar, Barebells classic Double Bite, and, of course, the top-tasting Battle Bites. The product features a candy bar-style build of two internal layers: a doughy main body and a gooey top of either caramel or toffee, all covered in rich milk chocolate.

The macros are relatively lean, with the two pieces providing a total of 21g of protein from milk, soy, and whey isolate, moderate carbohydrates at 20g, under 2g of that sugar, just 4g of fat, and a calorie count of 185. The protein-to-calorie ratio is better than most, as usually 20g of protein comes with 200 or more calories. Reflex and its High Protein Twin Bar keep out of the 200s, and you can try it for yourself direct in Toffee Crisp and Salted Caramel at £33.60 for a box of 12 or what would technically be 24 counting each piece individually.
