Atron has been in the saturated space of protein powder since very early in its journey, and while it started with concentrate in the mix, it eventually stepped away and went exclusively to whey isolate in its simply named Atron Isolate. The Swedish brand has made the decision to compete from both ends of the spectrum, keeping Isolate as its premier supplement and introducing Atron Whey as its more cost-effective entry.
The newly released Atron Whey is a straight whey concentrate protein powder, not a blend with any other source like whey isolate or slow-digesting casein. It provides around 22g of protein per serving, about 4g of carbohydrates, almost none of that sugar, under 2g of fat, and 110 calories. The point of the supplement is value, giving consumers a more cost-effective way to raise protein intake outside of the high-end Atron Isolate.
The even better part about Atron Whey is that despite it only just hitting the market, the Swedish brand has debuted it in several flavors. There are some traditional tastes on the menu in Sweet Cocoa Heaven and Cookie Dookie Dough, and some not-so-common in Salted Golden Caramel, Tropical Paradise, and Banana Caramel Dream. They’re all available from this week at atronstore.com at 299SEK (31.36 USD) for a 750g bag.
