Raw improves the taste and moves to a tetra carton for its second Raw Protein Shake

Improved Raw Protein Shake

Raw Nutrition is launching a new ready-to-drink protein supplement, described as the popular brand’s second entry in the category and format. According to Raw, this won’t replace the currently available Raw Protein Shake in the plastic 12oz bottle. There are a few notable differences, including that this one will come in an 11oz tetra carton, and it appears to rely on regular whey instead of grass-fed whey like the original.

One of the changes consumers will notice most, and this is purely going off what Raw Nutrition calls out on the front of the tetra pack Raw Protein Shake, is that it has a better overall flavor. More specifically, it says “improved taste”, meaning it offers a better overall drinking experience compared to the RTD that’s been out for a while. The macros are mildly better, also with the same 30g of protein but ten calories fewer at 150.

There are a few differences with the upcoming supplement in the regular whey base, improved taste, and subtly leaner nutrition profile, although it is essentially the same in terms of functionality. You get a good dose of protein in a sweet and smooth, milkshake-like beverage that you can quickly and enjoyably consume. The new Raw Protein Shake is rolling out to Sam’s Clubs shortly, as well as other mass market retailers.
