Optimum is also upping its protein in the RTD space to 40g in a new 14oz beverage

Optimum Nutrition Protein Shake 40g

One of the big themes this year has been ready-to-drink protein, and for some of the companies that are already in the mix, they’ve been coming out with new competitors packing even more protein, such as Quest Nutrition and its Protein Milkshake. Optimum Nutrition is now looking to do the same, taking things up a notch from its currently available Gold Standard Protein Shake with a respectable 24g of protein in an 11oz carton.

Optimum Nutrition is coming out with the simply named Protein Shake, a jump up from the Gold Standard Protein Shake to 40g of quality, muscle-building protein. All of that comes squeezed into a 14oz bottle, so 66% more protein but only 27% more to drink. The other nutrition is as leanly balanced as the Gold Standard RTD with low carbohydrates, 2g of that sugar, a similar level of fat, and a calorie count that lands just over 200 at 220.

Optimum Nutrition has been a leader in the world of protein supplementation for decades with its genuinely iconic Gold Standard Whey Protein. It has pushed the boundaries on many occasions in other innovations and entries, and here it’s getting deeper into beverage. The Optimum Protein Shake seems like it is coming to market, as the image is all we have to go off, and as you can see, there is just one flavor named so far, in Chocolate.
