The star product of the Huel line, at least on the convenient side of life, is the ready-to-drink regular Huel and Huel Black, both of which provide a lot of protein, although the Black edition has much more protein and fewer carbohydrates. New to market this week is something rather different in that particular department with Huel Lite, a beverage that is the same size as those other two, and on the inside, it is indeed lighter in its own way.
Huel Lite is a similar concept to Huel Black compared to the original Huel RTD, but sort of in between the two. The protein per bottle of the Lite variant sits at 25g of pea-powered protein, between those already available beverages, and the lowest carbohydrates of the three Huel nutrition drinks at 9g, with only 1.5g of that sugar. The fat lands at 4.9g, calories end on 190, and you get all of the same added vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids.
If you like the comprehensive meal replacement idea that Huel offers in its many different nutrition products and drinks, although you didn’t like the heights of the carbohydrates and fat, Huel Lite is what you’ve been waiting for. It has a respectable amount of protein, carbs and fat, closer to your typical protein shake, plus all of the micronutrients, and it costs £42 (56.45 USD) for a pack of 12 in Chocolate, Banana, and Strawberry.
