Huel only just stepped into the noodle category a month ago with the launch of Protein Ramen, one of the more intriguing functional food innovations we’ve seen this year. The concept packs an impressive 25g of protein, 26 vitamins and minerals, and only 230 calories in a quick-prep pot of noodles, giving consumers a genuinely convenient high-protein meal that looks and feels much closer to traditional ramen than most better-for-you alternatives.
The nutrition giant is already building on that idea with Huel Protein Ramen Black Edition, a significantly beefed-up version that takes the macros to another level. As the name suggests, it follows the same philosophy as Huel’s Black Edition meal replacements, dialing up the protein while maintaining complete nutrition. The spin-off product delivers 40g of protein per pot, 26 vitamins and minerals, 358 calories, and 7g of fiber, all wrapped in flavors like Asian-Style Beef with a rich soy and teriyaki-inspired broth, textured pea protein, vegetables, and seasonings.
The original Protein Ramen was already impressive for squeezing meal-replacement nutrition into a single-serving noodle cup, but Black Edition pushes that even further. Getting 40g of protein, complete nutrition, and authentic ramen-style eating in a portable pot is no easy feat. Huel Protein Ramen Black Edition is available through Huel’s official online store in the United Kingdom, with pricing starting at £3.50 (4.64 USD) for a single-serving pot.
