Muscle Milk reveals the many changes for the revamp of its signature protein drinks

Muscle Milk Refresh Early 2026

Muscle Milk is one of the longest-running competitors in the ready-to-drink protein market, which is still widely and strongly available today. The Pepsi-owned brand has a few drinks to choose from, starting with the regular Muscle Milk Protein Shake at 25g of protein, the Pro variant with 40g, the Muscle Milk Plant Shake, and the sugar-free Zero version. At the beginning of next year, the team at Muscle Milk is looking to reshape and revamp its lineup.

In early 2026, we are getting the all-new Muscle Milk Base and refreshed Muscle Milk Pro. Both beverages are going to be moving to an ultra-filtered milk formula for better overall flavor as well as consistency and texture, plus the brand is removing all of its artificial ingredients and colors. The macros on the innovations are going to be a bit better than the current Muscle Milks, with Base packing 26g of protein and the renewed Muscle Milk Pro pushing to 42g.

With all of the recent activity in ready-to-drink protein with the revamp of Redcon1’s MRE RTD, RYSE getting into the space, BioSteel putting together a quality competitor, Myprotein, Bucked Up, and so on, it only makes sense that a longtime player reinforces its position. Muscle Milk is doing just that next year with the new Muscle Milk Base and Muscle Milk Pro, offering a bit more protein, better taste and texture, nothing artificial, and no added colors.
