Barebells is our lone nominee of our 2025 Functional Brand Of The Year Award

Functional Brand Of The Year Nominees 25

It is nomination week for the 2025 Brand Of The Year Awards, and day by day through until this Friday, we’re sharing the nominees for each of the categories we recognize, ending with the overall Brand Of The Year. Today, we’re doing the Functional Brand Of The Year, which has been won by a few companies since we started doing it, including three-time champion Bombbar, back-to-back winner Life Pro, and the reigning title holder, Quest Nutrition.

The nominees this year are below, and as with any category for our annual Brand Of The Year Awards, we look for relentless innovation, excitement, and consistency from any corner of the world. We nominate brands that kept things interesting from the first month to the last with delicious new flavors, whole new products, and occasionally, new formats. All of our past winners did that, and that is also the case for the competitive year that has been 2025.

  • Barebells

There is no mistake, we do indeed have just the one nominee for our 2025 Functional Brand Of The Year, and we do this when we don’t feel we saw anyone deliver as well as the lone highlighted company. This happened last year for our Newcomer Of The Year Award, where Infinis Nutrition undeniably took home the trophy. This year, for the functional category, Barebells is that standout, but to keep things formal, this is just the nomination stage, with the official announcement and awarding of the trophy happening in the coming weeks, in December.
