Mars makes a miniature version of its protein drink that’s just 25% smaller

Mars Protein Drink Lite

Chinese health and nutrition company Mars debuted its canned ready-to-drink protein supplement a few years ago in one of the most unique first flavors we’d ever seen in Brown Sugar. As strange as it sounds, after trying the protein beverage in person, it is a damn good experience that blends the sweetness of sugar with a milkshake-like base. Mars has since dropped a few other flavors of the drink in Matcha, Chocolate, and Malt.

Instead of adding more options to the menu of what is simply referred to as the Mars Protein Drink, the creative company has gone and made a more compact version called Mars Protein Drink Lite. The original was already on the small side with a volume of 310ml, which is just 10.4oz. The newly released Lite spin-off is only 26% smaller at 230ml per can, and the protein has been scaled to match, falling from 18g down to a moderate 14g.

The rest of the nutrition profile in a can of the the Mars Protein Drink Lite is 4.4 to 4.7g of fat, 6 to 9g of carbohydrates, 6 to 8.8g of that sugar, 4.4g of fat, and calories ranging from 125 to 134. The brand has kept things somewhat consistent on the flavor side, launching the mini in all of the same options. That menu includes Chocolate, Malt, Matcha, and the original Brown Sugar, available in Taiwan in cases of 24 at TWD 1080 (34.45 USD).
