Muscle Nation pumps up the protein to 20g in its refreshed Crisp Bar

Muscle Nation New Crisp Protein Bar

Muscle Nation has taken a swing at the Rice Krispies Treat style protein bar before in the simply named Crisp Protein Bar. That wasn’t any time recently, almost two years ago, actually, although that’s long enough for the Australian company to rework the product and relaunch it. In the second coming of the Crisp Protein Bar, you get a whole new set of flavors as well as an improved nutrition profile that pumps up the protein and, in turn, the calories.

The refreshed Crisp Protein Bar sees Muscle Nation pump up the muscle-building macronutrient from 12.5g to 20g, which is a robust 60% higher. The overall size has been brought up to 60g to make room for the extra protein, and it has also elevated the fat, lowered the sugar, and pushed up the calories. The rest of the nutrition numbers in the Crisp Protein Bar are 6.6g to 7.3g of carbohydrates, 2.6g or less of sugar, 6 to 10g of fat, and 219 to 248 calories.

The drastic range in calories is due to the Chocolate Peanut flavor of Muscle Nation’s updated Crisp Protein Bar, as that has around 60% more fat, bringing it to 248 calories, while the other two, Chocolate Brownie and White Chocolate Caramel, are on 219. The Australian brand is already well into getting the still light and crispy protein bar into major retailers, with stock rolling out to Coles supermarkets as well as Chemist Warehouse pharmacies.
