German newcomer NXTUP puts 20g of protein in a can of its functional soda

Nxtup High Protein Soda

The trend of clear protein supplements has blown up across the health and nutrition industry over the last few years, and more recently, the approach of clear and refreshing protein has radically expanded in the ready-to-drink format. Over in Europe, the newcomer NXTUP is getting right in on that with its debut innovation, the NXTUP High Protein Soda, which is currently available in just the one sweet and smooth flavor.

NXTUP has stayed true to the clear protein drink style in its High Protein Soda, relying entirely on whey isolate to provide 20g of quality and complete protein. Due to that source, the rest of the nutrition profile is nice and clean, with the sugar being zero, the carbohydrates at only half a gram per can, and a total of 80 calories. Again, it comes in a lone flavor with Mango Peach, but the young brand already has more incoming.

While there is no set launch date yet, NXTUP has confirmed that at least two more tastes are coming soon, with the original tropical recipe, Mango Peach, to be joined by Blueberry Blackcurrant and Strawberry Kiwi. The newcomer is very clearly continuing that two-part approach moving forward in any extensions it brings to market, and they’ll keep that clean nutrition profile too at 20g of protein to a calorie count of 80.
