Redcon1 is relaunching its MRE Bar with a candy bar style taste and better macros

Redcon1 Revamps Mre Protein Bar

Years ago, Redcon1 launched its first-ever protein snack in a spin-off of its proudly whey-free protein powder, MRE, in the MRE Protein Bar. It was a genuinely enjoyable, crumbly, and wholesome functional food, and it really drove things home with its delicious selection of flavors, including the decadent German Chocolate Cake. The two-time Brand Of The Year is about to relaunch the edible innovation with a new approach geared more towards a modern approach.

Firstly, the revamped MRE Protein Bar is changing things up on the ingredient side, which will lead to a different set of macros that are leaner than the original’s 20g of protein to around 30g of carbohydrates, and a high 200s in calories at 260. The second big change Redcon1 has made to the protein snack for its upcoming reintroduction is a move to a richer, more candy bar-like approach, similar to leaders like Barebells’ various protein bars and Grenade’s Protein Bar.

There will be a new set of flavors to choose from, and they’ll seemingly reflect that promising candy bar approach, at least based on the first tsate to be revealed in Maple Almond Donut, packing that same 20g of quality protein to a much lower calorie count of 230.
