The major Japanese Zone Energy Drink regularly releases new flavors for its signature beverage, and what’s even more interesting is that those extensions tend to involve some sort of secondary angle, not just offering a new taste to experience. That was reflected in its Stack3d-45 award for its incredibly unique UFO Zone Energy Drink, a collaboration with the popular instant noodle Nissin UFO Yakisoba and aptly featuring a sour and spicy taste.
The first extension to the Zone Energy family for 2026 is Absolute Intelligence, playing into artificial intelligence, now widely used in many areas of life. The brand has launched this one leading into intense periods of study for the upcoming college exams in Japan. The Absolute Intelligence Zone Energy Drink is actually covered in equations and formulas from the lecturer and YouTuber Yobinori Takumi, who uploads videos for science students.
The flavor is reported to be grapey, muscat-like, with Zone Energy’s usual carbonation, half the caffeine the brand usually throws in at 75mg, a huge amount of sugar at 48.8g for a total of 52.4g of carbohydrates, and a calorie count of 212. The unmissable flavor drop comes covered in a bright blue design in Zone’s 400ml aluminum bottle format, and it’s rolling out to all of the brand’s many retail partners all across Japan.
