David lowers the protein for its chocolate-covered candy bar-style flavor

Double Chocolate Crunch David Protein Bar

The David Protein Bar has been on a rampage of growth since its debut, hitting the market and making a whole lot of noise just over a year ago, all due to its incomparable nutrition profile. The innovative functional food comes with 28g of quality protein per piece, no sugar, minimal carbohydrates, and just 150 calories. David has quickly expanded the menu of the protein snack, the most recent of which would be Red Velvet and Pumpkin Spice.

Details have come in on the first new flavor for David’s flagship product for the New Year, and there is a lot more to it than just another taste on the menu. The Double Chocolate Crunch David Protein Bar is the latest from the brand, and it is different in many ways. Firstly, Double Chocolate is actually covered in crispy pieces and a delicious coating of chocolate, and while the macros are still good, they’re a bit off the 28g of protein to 150 calories.

The protein in the Double Chocolate Crunch David Protein Bar is 8g less at 20g apiece, the same zero sugar, and a consistent 150 calories. The brand has scaled down the protein and dialed up the taste in what looks to be more of a candy bar-style experience. It is launching soon and will be a great alternative to the regular David Protein Bar, which still has reasonable nutrition, topping the majority of competitors, even with the lower protein.
