It is incredibly common for companies in major markets like the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, and parts of Europe to branch out internationally and bring their selection of products to other countries around the world. It is, however, uncommon for things to go the other way, where sports nutrition brands from smaller parts of the globe break into larger markets. We have seen it happen, and we’ve got a bit of that this week by way of Be Legend in Japan.
Be Legend is known for reliable and nutritious protein powder and amino supplement, and its many different authentic collaborations, where it gets together with manga, anime, and other notable pop culture names in Japan. Ever since it’s been around, it has stuck to its home country, although for the first time in the brand’s history, Be Legend has expanded beyond that, partnering with the retailer Muscle Incorporate to bring its signature protein to Thailand.
Now available in Thailand via Muscle Incorporate is Be Legend Protein, a whey-based protein powder, featuring a typical nutrition profile, just like you get from the brand in Japan. The version in Thailand does have its own look and is starting out in two standard flavors with Berry and Chocolate. It’s only a fraction of what Be Legend has available, but it is a start nonetheless, and a huge step for a brand that has remained domestic since its inception.
