BioSteel introduces a new hydration beverage with the same set of electrolytes

Biosteel Hydration Drink

The signature product from BioSteel in Canada is its hydration-supporting BioSteel Sports Drink, packed with electrolytes, zero sugar, and minimal calories. It comes in a ridiculous number of flavors, from your standard Blue Raspberry, Lemon Lime, and Watermelon, to more uncommon tastes like Iced Tea Lemonade, Rainbow Twist, and White Freeze. There is now a new hydration beverage available from BioSteel that comes in a plastic bottle and has similar goals to the brand’s original Sports Drink.

The ready-to-drink innovation is the BioSteel Hydration Drink, and just like Sports Drink, it comes with a set of electrolytes to support hydration, performance, and recovery. Interestingly, if you’re trying to decide between Hydration Drink and Sports Drink, formula-wise, they’re exactly the same. The brand has put exactly the same electrolytes in the new product as the original, with 230mg of sodium, 225mg of potassium, 50mg of calcium, and 25mg of magnesium, to improve hydration and performance.

They’re very much the same beverage, or at least the key ingredients and dosages are, so it will likely come down to taste, as we’re not sure if they’ve taken the same approach it flavor profiles and consistency. It is very easy to tell Hydration Drink and Sports Drink apart, as again, the new one comes in a plastic bottle, not a carton, and it’s available now in BioSteel’s home country of Canada in three lemonade flavors to start with Blue Raspberry Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, and Iced Tea Lemonade.
