Unmatched moves Isolate into bags and bumps up the price by 33% due to the cost of whey

Unmatched Cinnamon Bun Isolate

One of the first few products Kris Gethin’s brand Unmatched Supplements brought to market was Isolate, a premium, grass-fed whey isolate-powered protein powder named Isolate, which debuted in Rich Chocolate, Vanilla Milkshake, and Strawberries & Cream flavors. The still relatively young company has decided to rework that key category competitor, where it now comes in a resealable plastic bag instead of the traditional hard plastic tub.

The new Unmatched Supplements’ Isolate still relies on grass-fed whey isolate for its 24g of protein per serving, alongside a low 2g of carbohydrates, half of that sugar, only a gram of fat, and 120 calories. Again, the product has been shifted into resealable bags in two of its original flavors with Rich Chocolate and Vanilla Milkshake. There is a third option, but it is no longer the sweet Strawberries & Cream; instead, it’s Frosted Cinnamon Bun.

There is another notable difference, and that’s the volume of protein powder you get, as the original Rich Chocolate in its 907g tub had 29 servings, while the new bag in the same flavor works out to around 21 servings. Unmatched Supplements has kept the price at $59.99, meaning you pay the same for about 25% less, although that is no surprise and similar to what other brands are doing due to the extremely high cost of whey protein.
