Premier Protein has been putting protein into all sorts of foods and formats, long before the proteinification trend made it the popular thing to do. The functional company goes well beyond its signature Premier Protein Shake, which has several spin-offs, including Almond milk, Indulgence, and Coffeehouse. The brand also has Protein Granola, Protein Pancakes, Protein Muffin Mix, Protein Powder, and now Premier Protein Instant Oatmeal.
Similar to its other breakfast solutions in Protein Cereal and Granola, Premier Protein Instant Oatmeal combines wholesome and nutritious oatmeal with extra protein. The resulting nutrition profile is a quality 28g of carbohydrates from whole grain rolled oats, 8g of that sugar, 7g added sugar, around 3g of fat, and 190 calories. The muscle-building macronutrient, protein, sits at a moderate 13g from a blend of soy, whey concentrate, and milk isolate.
In typical Premier Protein style, Instant Oatmeal has hit the market in a variety of flavors, not just one, all classic breakfast tastes with the sweet Berries & Cream, Maple & Brown Sugar, and AppleĀ Cinnamon. The product comes in a pack of six single-serving sachets, and from the big box retailer Walmart, it will cost $5.47, which is less than $1 a serving.
