Tyngre adds to its selection of protein powders in a smoothie-like concept

Tyngre Protein Smoothie

The retailer and brand Tyngre, in Sweden, owned by the same parent company as Barebells and NOCCO, has a pretty strong selection of protein-based supplements, which all separate themselves by way of their sources. There is the whey-powered Vassle Protein, the slow-digesting Kasein Protein, the calorie-dense Massa, Clear Whey, and the gourmet Creamy Whey. Joining that list of competitors this week is another specific product named Protein Smoothie.

The goal with Tyngre’s newly released Protein Smoothie is to save consumers a step by providing a combination of whey concentrate and real fruit powder, hence the name. The idea is instead of blending protein and fruit to make a sweet and smooth shake, you just use the supplement all by itself. The macros are still actually relatively close to a standard protein powder at 24g of protein, 3.6g of carbohydrates, 2.6g of that sugar, 2.4g of fat, and 134 calories.

Tyngre’s Protein Smoothie is sort of a blend of standard and clear protein, where you get the sweet fruitiness of a clear shake infused into the thick and creamy consistency of a milkshake-like whey protein product. It’ll be interesting to see if the company expands on the concept into more flavors, as to start it has just Berries, made with strawberry and raspberry powder, and it’s available now from tyngre.se at kr 349 (37.40 USD) for a typical 2lb pouch.
